We have discussed appealing to the teachings of the Great Spiritual Leaders for guidance. They help us on our spiritual journey to connect with our Higher Power or God, to discover truth, become beings of Love, and find our Why or purpose. We want to incorporate truths from all of them.
Today we will focus on two Great Teachers who taught messages of peace and love. Remember, we are here to learn from sources we may or may not agree with.
Jesus Christ, whether or not you believe in Him, embodies the greatest love expressed through dying for others. He requires attention because of all the teachers He made the greatest claim. He boldly asserted that He was the actual Son of God sent to not only teach us but to save us from our inevitable mistakes so that we could learn from them rather than suffer for them.
One way to learn His message is to read The Gospels (Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John) in the New Testament. I also recommend that you watch the series beautifully made series The Chosen.
Another example and teacher of peace was Ghandi. He did not claim to be a spiritual leader, but he was definitely a moral leader. There are many books about him, and you can watch the 1982 movie about his life.
Journal: write down how Jesus and Ghandi exemplify peace and love toward others.
